L.A. Noire.

Welcome Back Friends, Couldn’t update you for a couple of weeks cause of Studies.
Today I will be reviewing on L.A Noire PC Version.

First Impressions Of The Game:
Resolution set to 1920 X 1080 with all the Graphics setting set to MAXED & AA Quality set to 3 (MAX). On the first run, the game took almost 10 Mins to Sync with Games for Windows; in game the graphics are not very good since it lacks a lot of texture detailing, but the character expression is simply FANTASTIC, no other words than that.
3D Vision & DirectX 11 makes the game lot more addictive, (not to mention about a wonderful story line and involving gameplay)

Quick Peek
A game set in Mid 20th Century in the America, involving cases of Murders, Drugs & Narcotics & Fire. You are Detective Cole Phelps, You start playing a role of a newly recruited uniform officer. You are reported by the Chief regarding the Crime Scene, making your way to the Crime Scene looking for clues and collect as much evidence as possible, obviously not all the things are relevant to the case, the character mutters to himself if it is not useful for the case. As you progress, so does your rank giving you a intuition point (a point where the player can ask for help). A deep storyline emerges as the game progresses.
Box Art.

Main:
The story is very entertaining from start to finish,
The game is not based on much of shooting or adventure, its purely Mind Games, Spying, Interviewing, Judging & Assumptions based on evidence, You have a parter with you who will help you in all the cases who only makes the case BIT more easier.
Still with me ? :D
There are 4 Different Ranks where each rank has got 5-6 Cases
1. Traffic Desk (Police Cases)
2. Homicide Desk (Murder Cases)
3. Narcotics (Drug Cases)
4. Argon (Fire Cases)
The player carries a notepad, in which the Objectives, clues, location & people related to the case are noted down, so it’s very important to keep an eye on on your notepad and remember or notedown the points of interest.
As I mentioned earlier, the player has to collect evidence, seek help from partner & interview the suspect.

Crime Scene

After collecting certain evidence you come up to a number of suspects whom you interview.
While the player interviews the suspect, there are various statements made by the suspect. The player has to judge whether he is telling the truth, lie or doubt, also you can view suspect’s facial expression like, eye twitching, eyebrows, sweat, lip movement & stammering.(these play a very important role in judging your suspect).
Sometimes accepting as truth may lead to further information about the case. If the player decides it’s a Lie, you should have a SOLID Proof or Evidence to to support your accusition for Lie, player can also back out of lying accusition but this leads to confidence amongs’t the suspect and you might not get the relevant information you are seeking.
Whereas Doubt is the Thin Line between the Truth & Lie, so if you THINK he is LYING but do not have evidence to prove it or if you think he is speaking the Truth but to a CERTAIN extent and trying to hide something, you can select Doubt, this will force Detective to go in high profile and extract information from the suspect.
Say for E.g: if the suspect says he uses a Size 8 Shoe, but you find Size 9 Shoe in his bedroom you can charge him for lying and put forth the evidence of Size 9 Shoes found in his bedroom.

Interrogation.
This really makes the game a  LOT INTERESTING & Involving. The game keeps getting complicated as lot of evidence is found and the player is himself confused as to  which evidence to put forth for a lie.
The Tone Quality, The Expressions are VERY TRUE TO LIFE.

Secondary Gameplay:
There are also collectable in the game such as newspapers & police badges.
The very little shooting style is just 1 step closer to the objective, you dont have an HUD indicating your gun, bullets n all, you just grab a gun, hide in cover, aim n shoot. Pretty Simple Isn’t it ? :D
The Car Chases are also pretty decent, the car lacks proper control, so probably you should learn to use your handbrakes for quick turns. :)
The Spying missions are also well defined, you trail a suspect hiding behind covers, you overhear the conversation between the suspect and another person by becoming incognito(Sitting on a bench n acting like reading newspaper or window shopping)
Pros:
1. Amazing Story Line.
2. Totally Immersive Gameplay.
3. Variety of Gameplay like Shooting, Driving, Spying, Chasing Etc.
Cons:
1. Every individual mind differs, so the way of approaching a suspect or collecting clues will also differ so some objects mights not be as evidence for the case.
2. Many a times instead of doubting the suspect’s statement, he pulls out a new point which you are totally unaware of which sometimes makes the player go furios.
3. Inspite of such HIGH DEMANDING Hardware, the game still lacks proper visual quality & texture detailing.
But the story is the MAIN INGREDIENT which makes the cons a secondary thought.

My Personal Tips:
1. Carry a pen and a paper next to your desk & note down, because the notepad only shows the EVIDENCE FOUND, not the details of the evidence.
2. Keep checking your notepad & inspecting suspect while interviewing him.
3. Carry as much as clue as possible before interrogating the suspect.
4. Allow your parter to drive, unless you love driving long distances with those cars of 1940′s :P
5. Load if you mess up your interrogation and you get nothing revelant to the case.
